The other ladies in the Mira RR stitch so fast, I am beginning to feel inadequate!! I still have lots of time for stitching so I am not worried about not finishing, but I want to be done NOW! So that I can share too! :D

Yesterday, I was wishing I could talk to Sharon. It's funny actually, whenever I can't find something, Sharon knew where it was. She was good like that. Well, yesterday, I was searching for my Nora Corbett Pixie charts, for a Mirabilia Round Robin I am in, and I could not find them anywhere. When I was wishing I could ask Sharon what she thought, I found them underneath my stitching cabinet in my bedroom. Strange, huh? I think she was telling me where to find them. And I learned to never leave my charts on the bed, because Em will just shove them where ever he feels like it. So, I have all my charts ready to go, since a couple of the ladies are using pixies as their theme.
My Theme is Mermaids. I stitched Mermaid of Atlantis on my piece. I enjoyed her so much, I think I will stitch the whole chart soon. :)

There are 8 other ladies in this RR, so there's lots of room for them to stitch. I can't wait until this makes it's way back home filled with mermaids! This fabric is a 32ct evenweave, Solo from Silkweaver. I thought it was perfect for mermaids!
I will post photos of all the bits I stitch for everyone during the next year.

A very good friend of mine passed away on Tuesday. She was 37 years old. She leaved behind her husband and two children. I am not totally sure what happened, though it was sudden and unexpected. Some of my stitching friends may remember Sharon (Tinkcrzy). I never met Sharon in person, but she was one of the best friends I have ever had, and her passing has left a big hole in my heart. I take peace in the fact that she is in Heaven, playing with my Angel Baby Michael. I will miss her every day.

I think by the time I am done with this post, it will be a conglomeration of different things. That's me though, I tend to talk about anything and everything, when I talk at all that is, lol.
First, I wanted to talk about some really great friends I have made. I am not much for friends, I have a very hard time dealing with people. Well, in photography class this year, I met some of the best people, and they treated my like I belonged, which felt so nice. We now have a "crew", what we lovingly refer to ourselves as. Now when one of us says the "crew", we know exactly who we are talking about, there are 10 of us altogether. Joking around during the final presentation, one of the "crew" was pretending to be a little tiffy, and other of the "crew" told her she was acting like Scary Spice. Well, it snowballed from there. Now, each one of the "crew" has a fitting "Spice" name. We ran with it, and now T-shirts are being made, with our photos photoshopped onto spice jars and our "crew" name on the back. I am Shy Spice. Fits perfectly. I thought that was fun, so I wanted to share.
I have been stitching a lot the last few days on the UFO RR. Aurora by Black Swan. Other than working around a mistake (there is an extra stitch that has followed, I can't find it, so I am stitching in another area for now). It's really pretty, Em likes it a lot, mainly because it has animals in it, and he is a sucker for animals of any kind.
I am going to try a new recipe for dinner tonight, it's a spicey chicken recipe. If it turns out ok, I will post the recipe. It has some chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, plus a ton of other spices too. I think I will serve it with some cheesy rice and some corn.
ON RETAIL NEWS
I have decided I don't have time for my store. And, since I have been holding on to all this inventory in a tiny home, I have decided to have a huge clearence sale. I will be listing all my inventory on my blog here at 75% off retail prices. I have lots of Nora Corbett and Mirabilia, plus some Passione Ricamo, and a few Chatelaine as well. I will be working on the list over the next couple of days, so if you are interested, be sure to check back. With school, work and a family, I just can't concentrate on the business right now. I don't know if I will start it again or not, but if I do, it will be after I graduate in a few years.
Ok, that was a lot. I am off to stitch some more and fold laundry too. Fun! ;)
Well, I had this big long post all typed out, and just said forget it. I am just whiny today. Now I need to try to get my stomach to stop burning. I need a vacation from vacation. I just need to be alone, but that hasn't happened in 12 years.
Anyway, nothing important today, sorry.
I got straight A's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got an A in Film Analysis (with a nice little comment from my professor on my screenplay, along the lines of, he can't wait for Experimental Digital Video next semester.....I hope that doesn't mean he wants me to actually film my screenplay.....)
I got an A in Intro to Design...the final was really bad in this class, I was worried...But, my portfolio was very strong, so I held on to my A!
I got an A in Sociology.....How, I don't know. I had a B at midterms, and I didn't think I did enough to raise my grade, but I did!
I got an A in Photography...I knew I had an A because my professor told me. I loved this class, it was the best class ever. I am going to miss it. But, I will have Experimental Digital Photography next semester, so, I hope it goes as good, I won't have the same professor.
So, I got a perfect 4.0 this semester (up a little from my 3.91 last semester), and I made the President's Honors List as well.
I am SO EXCITED!!!
And, I got lots of mail today, 2 new books from Paperbackswap.com, and my next leg of the UFO RR! It's turned out to be a very exciting day!
I have been working with a great bunch of ladies on a UFO Round Robin the last couple months, and into the next couple months as well.

Finals are officially finished. I am officially starting summer break TODAY! :) I am so excited. So far I know I got an A in photography, and pretty sure I got an A in Film and Design. I am not so sure about Sociology...maybe a C or a B. I will know for sure next week when grades will be posted.
I am going to a meeting this morning (one of those nice little anonymous meetings), then when I get home, I am going to STITCH! I can't wait, my fingers are itching to go...
I had to have prints made today of my final 15 photos that will be in my portfolio for my photography class. Our final presentation is tomorrow afternoon. I still have to mat them, but they turned out really great. I thought I would share them will you all.
